About the Client

The client is one of Europe’s leading sportswear distributors, servicing both the B2B and B2C markets. It acquires apparel in large quantities then distributes these goods to small-scale resellers.

Problem Statement

The client wants to improve the agility and scalability of its data provision and analysis to ensure efficient insights into business processes amid the challenges of big data. During the initial implementation of its new data warehouse, the client was confronted with several issues:

  • No unified modeling approach
  • Missing in-depth Data Vault 2.0 knowledge
  • Insufficient expertise in the automation tool used
  • Migration of the existing system

The Challenge

In order to completely replace the legacy system the client needed to cope different challenges such as:
